Lapkin Named Controller of Interactive Media Division
RICHMOND, Va. — Media General's Interactive Media Division has named Glenn J. Lapkin as its controller. Lapkin is currently director of accounting in the company's Publishing Division.
"Glenn is ideally suited for this new position," said Neal Fondren, president of the Interactive Media Division, which Media General launched on Jan. 1. "In addition to his divisional accounting experience and expertise, as well as his broad knowledge of the company, we will benefit from Glenn's innovative ideas and his sharp focus on profitability."
Before joining Media General in 1997, Lapkin was assistant treasurer and director of financial systems for RF&P Corp., a real estate investment trust headquartered in Richmond.
Lapkin is a 1982 accounting graduate of the College of William and Mary.
