Logan Named Editor of the Morning News in Florence
FLORENCE, S.C. — The Morning News, Media General's daily newspaper in Florence, S.C., has named Harry L. Logan as regional editor of its daily and weekly publications in eastern South Carolina.
Logan most recently served as deputy managing editor of The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C. He began his newspaper career in 1970 as a reporter at The Columbia Record and moved up to city editor before becoming assistant managing editor of The State newspaper in 1980.
"Harry brings a great deal of experience and energy to the Morning News," said Michael J. Miller, vice president and publisher of the newspaper and its affiliated weeklies. "His knowledge of the region and proven leadership will help us bring our newspapers closer to the communities they serve. I am delighted that Harry is joining us."
Logan's appointment as regional editor of Media General's South Carolina newspapers will become effective Aug. 13.
