Media General's Presentation at Mid-Year Media Review Will Be Webcast

RICHMOND, Va. - Media General (AMEX: MEG.A) will update investors next week on current business conditions, corporate strategies and financial performance at the Mid-Year Media Review, an annual forum sponsored by major media companies.

Media General's presentation will begin at 3 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 19, at the Essex House hotel in New York City. A live webcast of the event can be accessed at www.mediageneral.com or at www.midyearmediareview.com. Replays of the webcast will be available at both sites for two weeks following the event.

Media General's speakers will include: J. Stewart Bryan III, chairman and chief executive officer; Marshall N. Morton, senior vice president and chief financial officer; and Neal F. Fondren, president of the company's Interactive Media Division. Their presentations will be posted to the Media General Web site by 5 p.m. on June 19.
