Media General to Release Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year 2003 Earnings, Host Conference Call on January 28

RICHMOND, Va. – Media General, Inc. (NYSE: MEG) will release fourth-quarter and full-year 2003 earnings on Wednesday, January 28, before the market opens. The full text of the release and financials will be available on the company’s Web site, www.mediageneral.com.

The company will hold an earnings conference call with financial analysts that day at 3 p.m., ET. The conference call will be available to the media and general public through a limited number of listen-only dial-in conference lines and via simultaneous webcast.
